Today we are are able to bask in the sun,

But our fellow brothers and sisters can only dream to;

We are so sorry dear Yemen,

We hear your cries and we wish to help you.

“My little sister used to play with me, but since she had malnutrition, she never plays nor talk. I’m afraid I will be like her tomorrow.” -A message from a Yemeni Child

Even her simple, unadorned dream is now at stake with an estimated rate of at least 1 child losing their life every 10 minutes. UNICEF reported that the ordeal was due to malnutrition, diarrhoea and respiratory-tract infections.

With its roots in the failure of a political transition which supposedly was to bring about stability to the country, Yemen is now in the midst of a protected political, humanitarian and developmental crisis with 24.1 million requiring humanitarian assistance and protection. Additionally, over 400,000 children are at risk of starvation with nearly 2.2 million in need of urgent care.

Yemen is also not only facing FAMINE - but WAR, an EPIDEMIC and a PANDEMIC all at the same time. At this rate, children are being robbed of their future and Yemen will eventually be wiped out of the map.
