Singapore's Childhood Nostalgia

Growing up in Singapore, our old school snacks and games has definitely been apart of our lives growing up. Here at SANBOX, we will be reminiscing some of our favourite childhood snacks and games growing up with our '90s Babies Box'.

EYEGLASS CHOCOLATE CANDY

These chocolates encased in medicine-like wrappers came in packagings of various shape and size but our personal favourite was the eyeglass shape! Did you know that you could tie a string through the punched holes on the eyeglass chocolate candies to turn them into candy eyeglasses?

RING POP

"Will you marry me?". Have you actually uttered those words while flashing your ring pops to your childhood crush and actually meant it? Psst, some of us in the SANBOX team may have done it.

MILK CANDY

Milk candies have never really disappeared as these delicious candies still appears in various concoction of drinks and desserts. Don't we all once believed we could all eat paper just by eating the rice paper that wraps around these milk candies?

KINOS DING DANG

A 2-in-1 treat, besides enjoying the delicious chocolate biscuit, Kinos Ding Dang also includes a surprise old-school toy!

POP! GRENADE

These pop grenades are harmless bomb bags that explodes when crushed or stepped on. Beware not to pop this harmful yet loud toys infant of your neighbour's door! (We're not liable of any screaming aunties hehe)

BABY BOTTLE CANDY

These baby bottles came in HUGE baby bottles that some of us may have used as piggy banks or baby bottle banks to be exact.

STYROFOAM FLYING GLIDER

Before we had smartphones to distract ourselves during lessons, we fold paper planes to distract our friends too! These styrofoam flying gliders were a classic toy which only costs a few cents and came in many different designs!

APOLLO WAFERS

A local twist to our favourite Kit Kat snacks are these Apollo Wafers that comes in chocolate and milk flavour. Maybe you could try eating the Apollo Wafers with Kourtney Kardashian's "6 Steps to Eating a Kit Kat" *winks*

MINI GAMEBOX
